This magazine cover takes the elements of what I learned with text and porportions I've learned in this class. First, I picked the official Taylor Swift font to use for the magazine title. I chose Cosmetic magazine because it is a real magazine that is all about plastic surgery, which clearly my girl has had gone wrong, hence the cover story. Next I chose some other subheadings to use as other articles in the magazine. I restricted my color usage as well, only using shades of blue to corespond with her eyes. I added the blue border cuz Time magazine does that too and it looks pretty official. That's about it! Yay! :)
Besides the fact that this is the scariest magazine cover on the face of the earth… your design sense is spot on. I agree with your assessment of the use of color and the border as well. The only thing you might consider is using a lighter font on the story lines. Since the magazine title is in script, you might consider using script for the other fonts as well to lighten them a bit. Just a thought.
